Why are mirrors popular? Why do they really work? It’s common to see mirror wall art for sale; but how do they come in handy when staging a space? Mirrors essentially create the illusion of additional space, they are also pretty to see on a wall, and they reflect light that brightens a room if placed properly. Mirrors are useful in a small space, long hallways, and rooms with few or small windows. They have a functional use in bathrooms and bedrooms, but they can generally be found throughout the house.

Dining rooms are also a great places for mirrors. Large mirrors or a mirror covering most of the wall in the dining room are commonly used to create the illusion of more space. Mirrors reflect space so it looks like you have an extended room. You can also use mirrors to decorate the wall and they will coordinate comfortably with glassware and glass candleholders.

Mirrors are great above fireplaces but try to hang them instead of resting them against the wall. When you rest them against the wall they reflect the ceiling and that is unattractive to most people.

No matter what space or room, large or small mirrors usually come in useful when visual space is an issue.
